CANOPY REPAIR

The canopy is the mainsail of your kite. Repairs are done with spinnaker ripstop cloth.

  • Small tear < 20cm: R500

LINES

Kitelines can often be repaired, if heavily damaged, they need to be replaced. They are always replaced in pairs.

  • Kiteline fix: R500

  • Set of tailor-made kitelines: R1500 (incl. sleeves / pigtails)

  • Assembling the bar: R500

LEADING EDGE REPAIR

The leading edge is made of dacron fabric, repairs require the leading edge to be opened and closed.

  • Small tear < 20cm: R1000

  • Big tear 20cm-50cm: R1500

  • Massive tear 50cm+: R2000

BRINGING YOUR BABY

Your kite should be brought in:
CLEAN OF SAND & SALT

​

Sand, salt and oil creates a grinding paste that destroys our machines.

​

If you don't have time to clean it, we will do it for you.

​

  • Cleaning fee: R150

  • Kite drying time: 1 day

BLADDER REPAIR

The bladders can be damaged, have slow leaks or delaminate. Valves can be leaking.

​

  • Punctures: R500 per leak

  • Bladder torn: R750

  • Removing bladder: R750

  • Placing a new valve: R750

OTHER DAMAGE?

Other damage to your equipment such as:

  • Harness strap

  • Kiteboard footstrap

  • Broken bag

Bring it in and we will have a look.

  • Price based on hourly labour

All repairs are done at the kite repair centre and school in Langebaan. To ensure a fast repairing process we would like to stress again that, for your kite to be properly repaired, your kite needs to be CLEAN, rinsed with FRESH water. Sand, salt and oil create a grinding paste that destroys our sewing and sealing machines. If you don't have time to clean it, your kite repair will be delayed depending on how busy we are.

We request the following:

* A clean kite

* Patience (depending on our work-load, we aim for your kite to be ready within the same day)

* We message you when your baby is ready to go out on the water

That way we can ensure your kite is finished as quick as possible.

BOARD REPAIR

BEFORE

Our partner in Cape Town repairs boards. Both wooden and carbon boards. 

 

But boards nowadays contain a lot of carbon and precision engineering. Our specialised partner in Cape Town has the right tools to restore your broken board to a perfect state.
